Great theme creator!
Could you please help me with debugging. I commented the line 2 in .js file but it is not working well. I deactivate/activate all plugins but the same effect. The site with problem is http://www.360imobiliare.ro. If you have any ideas I will wait your reply. Thanks
Love the theme as well but I'm having the same problem as the last two entries. I commented line 2 in the .js file and was looking forward to everything working but all I still have is a black box. My site is http://gessearch.com/executiverecruiterblog/

kgillian, I see that your site is working now. What finally got it to work for you? I've been struggling with this for the last day, followed all the instructions, read the FCG support blog and took all the suggestions, but I'm still stuck.
ok, i'm not a developer, coder, nor even very technical but i'm building our site and am having a blast. If I understand the FCG correctly it is to pull images from posts. What I would like to do is actually load a Gallery of images to rotate through the header and am not having much luck after a few days of trying to make it work. I agree with Thom: Dynamic Content Gallery is a life-saver.
Better in several ways, to cite some:
• Fully customization
• Easier to understand and to config
• More intuitive to include featured image & info on the post/page.
• You can chose to use either MooTools or jQuery in the config page.
• Ready for WP 3.0
For making it happen in eDegreeº Theme:
Download it:

Activate it !
In your eDegreeº theme, locate the file named:
header.php
Include this code just before the first elseif() of the series (near line 70):

I'd like to ask for the theme developers to include those two lines of code in the next update.

ANOTHER FIX... FINALLY!
If you're like me you read these tips and tricks and still failed to fix your FCG problem. I, too, had the black border with nothing showing up. I, too, edited the functions.js file and still had trouble. If this sounds like you, hopefully my eventual success will help you.
To get FCG to FINALLY work, I simply deactivated all my plugins (no worry, your settings are still saved). When I refreshed the eDegree site with the problem, miraculously, Featured Content Gallery worked. One by one I activated my plugins and refreshed the site to try and catch the culprit that was blocking FCG. Turns out I was able to turn them all back on without error; go figure. You might have a more permanent plugin conflict, but luckily your FCG will work as well.

I tried both FCG and DCG. follow instruction and tried disabling function.js solution.
I finally have the content gallery loaded (with arrows to scroll to next featured content) but I only see a bar showing image is loading but it never got loaded. SO I basically see only the content gallery with featured text and arrows in dark screen. This happens in both FCG and DCG.
Anyone has any solution?
Its alright, I got it fixed now...
I too am having issues with getting FCG to work with this theme at http://www.nhlakesrealty.com/blog/ I have used this plug in successfully before but have not been able to get it to work. I have two posts, with images, tested the image paths, commented the functions.js file and all I see is the blank window. What am I missing? Is there any way to test and see if the problem is my web host? Any alternatives for that area?

I just downloaded and installed both the eDegree theme AND FCG yesterday. I had no luck getting it to work. I read every fix suggestion in this forum and the FCG forum, but still no luck. I tried EVERYTHING suggested...and when I say I tried everything, I mean EVERYTHING.
Help??!?
I can get FCG to work in eDeco and Intrepidity, but it just refuses to work in eDegree. I've tried the fix for the .js file, but still will not display images, just a loading bar.
Hi everybody, ok I know these posts are like 6 months old, but I'm hoping someone is still alive in here to help me out. Alright I have the standard situation...I'm using eDegree for my company website/ blog and you guessed it. The FCG plugin won't work. It won't work at all, its just a completely empty box. Before anybody asks, yes I've read this entire forum, yes Ive watched the video, and went to the FCG plugin website, yes I made sure the code was in. I've done it all, nothing works.
Now about the JQuery thing...that I have not done. Could somebody walk my through step by step, I'm a complete noob as far as coding goes. Exactly what do I need to type in or change, and exactly on what page, or pages, do I do this on. I'm hoping since it's been 6 months now that there is some sort of standard fix, or procedure, that will make this plugin work on this wordpress theme.
Also a couple of other questions...I'm getting conflicting information as to what the dimensions should be for the pictures...does it matter?
Do I need to create a separate category called "Featured Content" or can I use one of my regular sections?

Hello I am trying to make this work for my website that is due for class in two days. I Really like this theme and i dont want to change it but I am having a really hard time figuring out how to make my gallery work.
